Bike or hike
Jump on your mountain or E-bike, or pull on your hiking boots and head to one of the nearby summits to enjoy the breathtaking views. Agergschwendt Alm at 1040m, Rechenberg Alm at 1160m or Jochberg Alm at at 1265m (featured picture) are summits worth seeing. A cold beer awaits you at the mountain huts. Set your sights higher? Hike to the Hochgern summit at 1748m!
Cool off at the lakes
Pack your bathing suit, grab your inflatables and head to one of the nearby lakes. Wössner See is your closest stop, or head to Reifinger See in Grassau, or one of the Chiemsee beaches (Übersee, Chieming, Seebruck, Prien). Alternatively, hike to Taubensee at 1138m, or venture across the border to Walchsee (featured picture).
Take to the skies
Take the Hochplattenbahn chairlift in Marquartstein up to the Staffn-Alm at 1070m. Relax and enjoy the views, or enjoy further hikes from this point. Visit the glider airfield in Unterwössen; if you don't fly yourself, watch the landings and take-offs or ride as a passenger. Paragliding's your thing? In Unterwössen you'll be on cloud 9!

Sledge and slide
Head to Balsberg in Unterwössen for sledging fun on your doorstep. Alternatively, try the 3.5 km toboggan run down from the Hochplattenbahn station, or sledge down from the Agergschwendt-Alm. Already tried snowtubing? Tubing and more family fun in the snow can be found in Benzeck in Reit im Winkl. Ice-skating more your thing? Various indoor and outdoor options nearby!
Hit the ski trails
Choose from countless cross-country ski trails in and around Unterwössen - find the right trail for you on the Achental tourist pages. More up for skiing or snowboarding? Winklmoosalm-Steinplatte or Hochkössen-Unterberg are some of the nearby resorts for you! Need lessons? Check out the Hausberg or Achental ski schools in Reit im Winkl.
Take a winter walk
Sometimes it's enough to be out in nature and breathe in the fresh mountain air! Leave from Casa Mia and enjoy a relaxing walk in the winter-wonderland scenery.
